We had to stop in Pisa, just to see the tower. It was the wildest thing. We did the obligatory poses, then ate lunch and left promptly. Nothing else interesting there. So we were off to the coast.

Ok, driving in the coastal region, known as the Cinque Terre is ridiculous. We're talking edge of the cliffs, road crumbling beneath you into a ravine, you could die at any second kind of driving. And when another car comes the opposite way, you scream. But seeing these towns was worth it.

We had to climb these stairs later that evening. They go from sea level up to our apartment. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. I stopped midway and took a pic down and another one up. Absolutely ridiculous. |
