Looks as though my maintenance stops are also my only blog opportunities. :)
This time I have a malfunctioning laser that California's trying to sort out. So I'm on the side of some county road.
Obviously we finally found Jordan a car. It's a red Subaru Legacy and she loves it. Thankfully. My favorite part so far was her dragging Hannah out to help her 'decorate' it. I.e. - put a Lei around the mirror :) Love those girls. It's a stick shift and she's still learning, but doing great. She should have it mastered this weekend.
Oops, gotta run and do some engineering testing...

Finally! ! !

Long week and weekend. I want nothing more than to sleep for a day. But I can't.
I've been trying to work today, but am currently pulled over on the side of the road waiting for the rain to pass. I do hope it's raining this much at my house. We're going to look at yet another car for Jordan tonight. Every one of them has been awful in person because the person lied in the ad. Hoping we don't waste an entire evening driving all the way to see it.
I had another G **gle chaser this morning. He followed me through a neighborhood and then took shortcuts to meet me on cross streets, he was starting to creep me out so while he was circling the block I bailed out of the neighborhood and entered a different one. Lost him :)
Jordan had a blast at her formal. Met a bunch of great guys and got really good at dancing. I think she said that salsa was her favorite. They do all the traditional ballroom dances, plus modern line dances, which I got to see. (parents can peek in for the last dance)  Amazing seeing hundreds of teens doing the same thing all at once. It really was cool.
She has a field trip to the beach coming up with her marine bio class, they're going on some research ship. Then this summer they are going to get scuba certified.
Is it wrong to be jealous of your children? Their futures are so promising and exciting. I do envy the both of them in a way. Oh to be young and smart and beautiful, and to have your whole life waiting to be created. There's nothing holding them back, nothing they can't do.
Yeah, I'm definitely jealous.

Once again, crazy busy weekend that went by way too fast. John Bevere spoke today, and it was incredible. Walking in grace. An amazingly simple and true concept. I ran camera all day. I'm exhausted, but full.
This week, in addition to working all day every day, we've got to deal with Josh's car which was hit by our neighbors, and undriveable, so we're short a car, trying to buy a car for Jordan, meeting with our lawyer on Tuesday, need to find time to meet with accountant, we have either services or rehearsals at church every night except Monday, Jordan's prom is downtown Thursday night, I have a 2.5 hour dental appointment friday to prep for my crowns, then the Easter whirlwind starts Friday night.      I'm already tired.
Lord, please bring the rains this week! Flood this city with your flowing water. We need it. We need more of you. And I need some time off! (can't work in the rain)  :)

Sorry I haven't been blogging. I have just been so busy. The minute I get out of my car in the evening, I put down my stuff and get to work on everything that needs to be done at home. And most of it is not getting done. I don't guess the dirt is going anywhere though.. it will be waiting for me when this job is done. I'm on my own again this week. No direction from California, so I'm just making executive decisions about which neighborhoods to do. Heading out towards Lakeway next I suppose. I'm sure I'll get the call any day now.
Josh's insurance debacle has gotten more complicated because our health insurance actually paid the claim. That usually would be a good thing, but not this time. Just complicates everything. Especially since the hospital gave them a 90% discount. Ridiculous. So today Josh called a lawyer that his friend Judge Wright recommended.
Currently watching the last regular season Spurs game before the playoffs, and Ginobili just got injured! Oh no...

I SOOO need a vacation. I am so tired. And no rest for the weary. I have been working on the yard every minute I've been home today. Nearly passed out from heat stroke. But got alot accomplished.
I think my job is starting to wrap up. I have finished both maps that I was given and am now working on neighborhoods outside the maps. Kinda on my own at this point. Just waiting for the call that says time to move the car to the next location. I will be glad, there's so much I need time to catch up on. My house needs a good deep cleaning, and I need some rest, and then I need to get back in shape. Driving all day long is not good for the waist line. I also need to get back to my travel job.
My pond is looking so nice. I'll post a pic soon. All the surrounding flowers are so green and almost ready to bloom. It's just beautiful to sit on the bench and hear the waterfall and fountain. I love fountains. I want them all over the place. I'm trying to convince Josh I need this huge round multi layer one I saw today. I told him I could put it right in the middle of the entry way.   :)   I don't think he's buying it..
We are currently watching the Spurs who just clinched the Western Conference title. GSG! Chase is here, wish Michael was too.
Can't wait for summer!
I'm getting excited about the possibility of getting an insurance settlement from Josh's accident. If we get what we think we might, we could pay off all our taxes, take a nice family vacation this summer, and have some left for some home repairs that need done, or something. That would be beyond incredible. I'm trying not to get too excited, lest I also get disappointed, but at the same time, I'm believing for the blessing. I have no doubt how good our God is!

Yesterday I was mooned. By a middle aged man. Who really wants their butt on a public map forever?! Trashy.
Oh, and I broke my tooth and had  to go to the dentist. Now I need 2 crowns.
But the day ended well and today is gonna be better. I just know it.

So we found out that the guy who Josh 'collided' with had very minimal insurance. Only 30k. Our base ER bill is 24k. That is NOT including doctors, CT scans, MRI's, X-rays, labs, drugs, ambulance, followup visits he's had, etc. Needless to say, it's not enough money. We are discussing our options. Josh wants to sue the guy. I'm still not comfortable with that. We are seeking wisdom this week from friends in insurance and law. Pray for guidance for us.

Then I come home today and there are shingles all over the yard from the winds.
And we owe even more money to the IRS.
Living is so expensive.

Hey, can anyone recommend a tax professional? A real one? Not a teenager at the mall or a guy out waving signs, that will merely follow the same prompts I have been using in different software. But a REAL cpa or something? I asked this question last year and got no where, but maybe I have a different audience this time around..
