Michael came home to visit today :)

Crazy couple of days.  Spent Wednesday at the hospital. Didn't reveal anything I didn't already know, except that my cholesterol levels are excellent and I have normal blood pressure! Good to know I suppose. But the tests did produce a whole list of extra tests I now need. Pulmonologists, cardiologists, gastrointerologists(sp?), etc.. blah blah blah.         C'est la vie
I have a job interview next Friday. I've shot photos of people, jets, homes, businesses, and now possibly, maybe, cars.  We will see.
Today I had to spend a bit of time at the bank. Apparently someone made a duplicate of my debit card and went shopping in New Hampshire. Luckily, Capital One bank is smart and they figured out that I couldn't be buying groceries in Texas and shopping in New England at the same time, so they shut down my card right away and the jerks only managed to spend $400, and that is already being refused. And I already have another card. I love my bank.
Tonight the girls and Josh are at the Toros game with a bunch of friends courtesy of Rene and her suite. I am home eating chocolate and watching movies.

I wish I had a sister to sit here with me. Like one my age, but not a twin. We certainly don't need another me wandering around..

The birthday party for Rene was great. Fun night. I had this totally cute cake made for her and we decorated the room with tons of pink streamers and stuff, way over the top pink, just for fun. Cause she would totally never choose that herself  :)

Randomness:
* The famous and talented Jaclyn put some highlights back in my hair today. First step on the road back to blonde.
* Currently watching the cousins wrestle on the floor at my in-laws.
* Having a birthday party for René in her suite at the ice hockey arena on Monday night. I need to order a cake and get some flowers and stuff..
* The girls and I looked at hundreds of wedding dresses today in magazines and online. Premature? Yes. Fun? Of course.
* I love my skinny jeans. I live in them.
Yes, I'm 38. Deal with it.
* I am currently looking for some mustard colored pumps for spring.
* I really want a piña colada smoothie right now. Or a piña colada... on the beach..in Mexico. Yeah, that sounds good.
* Jordan now has 2 little girls in her lap playing a princess game on her phone. Hannah is playing piano. Josh is talking about shoes? with his brother. Their parents are in the kitchen. Me? I'm typing. Duh.
* Dinner is ready, gotta go.

Oh yeah, I have a blog.. Oops. I've been totally diving into work. I'm not an official licensed agent yet, but if I bring in customers to the business I do get commission, sooooo if you are traveling anytime soon, we can save you time, money and hassle. This donor process moves sooo slow. My next appointment isn't until next Wednesday. But it's gonna be a doozie. LOTS of tests and meeting with the doctor. Josh is taking the day off to go with me. I didn't do so well last time when I was solo.

You know how on the movie Back to the Future, he has this picture, and every time he looks at it people start disappearing? Like slowly fading away as if they were never there? Yeah that's how I feel. Kinda dissolving into a sea of oblivion.

Ok we really need a car for Jordan. But we have no cash to obtain one. Nor a job yet to make payments. Does anyone have a spare car lying around we can borrow for a little while???
Long shot I know.. But if you don't ask..
((She starts her ACC classes next week which are 2 days a week. Plus she has ODA classes 2 different days a week. We are in a bit of a bind. )) It is rare that I ask for help.
I am in such a dilemma because we need money desperately right now not only for a car, but to pay our taxes. But I hate to go out and accept a new job and have to go on medical leave immediately if I am accepted as a kidney donor for my mom.
I just need wisdom and guidance. I'm a bit stressed out.

I started up the travel job again. Been busy making info sheets for a trip to Ghana, Central Texas day trips for seniors, booking shore excursions for a group cruise, comparison shopping for buses and airfare, and in a couple of weeks I have to go tour a new ship that's in port in Galveston. Not bad for the first few days. Still looking for additional part time work though until this turns into more work. I have to say, I am tired of the cold. Looking at all these travel brochures with tropical beaches on them is not helping. But at least I'm not outside working. I can't imagine doing that Google job this week. That would be entirely too miserable.

Everyone around here is sick. Either allergies or oral surgery pain (Josh had a wisdom tooth pulled Wednesday), or both in his case, or just the winter crud. Jan-March is definitely my least favorite season.
Jordan had to break a dear friends heart when he confessed his feelings for her last night. They have been good friends for years, ever since they met in theatre a few years back. The boy, C***** was cool about it, but still Jordan felt real bad, like Really bad, but as we've told her, this likely won't be the last time she's gonna have to reject a guy. Gonna have to toughen up a bit to survive these drama years.
In other, unrelated, sad news, Michael returned to Baylor for the semester. :(
We will ALL miss him. Jordan especially. It was so good having him around all the time this holiday season.
He is such a good boy.

This afternoon I'm having lunch with friends Isaac and Carol Williams who are here visiting from Africa. They pastor Healing Place church in Mozambique. When I saw them at church this morning, it was the first time I'd seen them on American soil.
I miss Africa.

Jordan was in another little wreck. She was backing down our steep driveway and there was a car parked across the street that she backed right into. I am really not looking forward to the quote that is coming to add her to our insurance policy. 2 wrecks in the last year. :(  Not gonna be pretty. But at least no one was injured either time. That's all that matters. Money is just money. There just never seems to be enough of it around here.
Which is why I'm back on the job hunt. I am starting back at the travel agent job on Monday, but that is very part time for now, so I need another part time. Once again, any leads are appreciated.
So I didn't make any New Years resolutions. Because.. I'll just break them. One doesn't change just because of the day. Instead I try to get better every day so that by the end of the year I kinda improved and met goals, just a little bit backwards.
I am praying that 2011 is our year of financial freedom. That is my goal.
We really need our back taxes paid off, and I want to go to Hawaii :)
Oh, and Jordan also needs a car.
(completely unrelated but interesting none the less; she's currently off on a pseudo date with Michael. ((they went to the movies)) shhh. don't tell her I told you..)
